Although the ek 96-00 civic has more creature comforts, as far as ride quality. The eg very popular, light weight, can be easy to modify. I junked my original engine and bought one from www.jshmotors.com This was probably the best thing i did to my car. I love it. Next thing im working on is the suspension. Over all Eg and ek great models. The civic eg is also great model as well. Although the ek 96-00 civic has more creature comforts, as far as ride quality. I was a Toyota guy, but in 2007 I finally bought a Honda Civic and now I can say that I know why so much people prefer Honda's and why the resale value of such cars are one of the greatest now a days. When I see the stats of my blog, the most search queries are on Honda topics. So I guess it is an all time winner. Now I am waiting for the electric car that are supposedly planning to build. The first civics were amazing cars, I've still seen a few late 70s civics on the road with over 380k miles on them. The new civics are just as easy to work on and just as reliable.
